Function of Clutch Servos




Having a clutch master cylinder servo is essential for heavy vehicles. It enables the driver to make a precise and consistent clutch stroke. This system can increase the confidence of the driver and can improve the efficiency of the vehicle. This servo is also called a "driver actuated shift system". The servo works by amplifying the driver's foot pedal force, which is transmitted through a mechanical lever system.
Typically, the clutch master cylinder is equipped with a stroke switch that gives information on the clutch stroke. It also allows the user to select the clutch stroke. The master cylinder's housing is made of anodised monoblock aluminum, which makes it corrosion resistant. It's also machined in one operation, so it's lightweight and durable.
Besides its mechanical and hydraulic functions, the clutch master cylinder servo also provides the functionality of visual wear indicators. These indicators make it easier for technicians to detect the level of wear on the clutch, which can help to avoid costly repairs.
Often called a clutch fork, a hydraulic releasing device is used to disconnect the transmission from the engine. It enables the transmission to change gears smoothly. A push-type clutch pedal pushes on a diaphragm spring that is then pushed back through the fork. When the lubricant dries out, the fork makes a noise.
